KATHMANDU: With an aim to provide standardised, reliable and accident-free aviation service, a new association named ‘Helicopter Society of Nepal’ has been established.
Captain Rameshwor Thapa of Simrik Air has been appointed as chairman of the association, as per a media release. The association has elected Ang Tshering Sherpa, managing director of Yeti Airlines and chairperson of Air Dynasty, and Satish Prasad Pradhan, executive chairperson of Manang Air, as vice chairpersons of HSoN.
Yograj Kandel, CEO of Heli Everest, has been appointed as general secretary; Pratap Jung Pandey, managing director of Kailash Helicopter, as treasurer. Also, Binod Thakali of Prabhu Helicopter, Anil Manandhar of Shree Airlines, Nimaniru Sherpa of Altitude Air have been elected as members.
