KATHMANDU: Nepal has so far secured 37 gold, 27 silver and 39 bronze medals in the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) ongoing in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Janakpur.
Athlete Gopi Chand Parki bagged a gold medal for Nepal in the 5,000-metre race at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu on Friday morning. He completed the race in 14′ 54.20” leaving behind his Indian opponent Sunil Dawal who reached the target in 14′ and 55.21″.
Likewise, athlete Hari Rimal became the third finisher and secured the bronze medal for Nepal.
Currently, Nepal is trailing behind India in the 13th SAG.
